Based on the Department of Justices new interpretation of the Wire Act – it is limited to bets on sporting events and races. So there are no retrictions on interstate lotteries. So if a state expressly legalizes intra state gaming like poker, there is no federal law now that can criminalize it. So the key is for the state to legalize it.
The favorites are 24-18-2 ATS in Super Bowl history. The underdog has won outright 13 times. The Steelers have been here before and the Packers haven’t. Green Bay won’t be able to run on the top-ranked Steeler rush defense, and the Bears may have given Pittsburgh a blueprint to help slow Rodgers. The Green Bay Packers open a 2.5 point favorite over the Pittsburgh Settlers in the first week before the big game. It will be interesting to see if the line moves after the Pro Bowl and we get more injury updates. We will keep you posted with any new line changes.
The New York Jets are being asked to play its fifth road game in six weeks and they will have had one day’s less rest than the Steelers. For the first time this post-season, the Jets will face an opponent that is better on both sides of the ball and the outcome will be a tough one for the Jets.

The Bears earned home field advantage, but the fans are betting as if Green Bay is a far superior team. Chicago did “just okay” at home this year, going 5-3 — but Green Bay was just 3-5 on the road. Several factors point to the Bears, as a “live” home dog. We’ll “bet against the Public” and grab the line value.

I personally think that Auburn is going to take over the game in the second half but what do I know.
Some years, you just don’t have it. The Colts are injured throughout and thats all this game really comes down to. If you dont have the horses there’s nothing you can do and the Colts dont. The Colts are missing it this year, and they just aren’t going to get it in time for the Jets to come calling. New York is right. This IS a personal game. This is one that this team badly wants, and it is going to pull out every stop in the book to make sure that the job gets done. Don’t be shocked to see the men from the Big Apple come into Peyton’s Place and walk out with a big upset.

The Seattle Seahawks come into today’s game against the Saints a 10 point underdog. The majority of the money seem to be with the Saints but the Seahawks are playing with alot of confidence and could be hooking out last years Super Bowl champions. Lets see if this holds up.
It looks like it is going to be a bidding war between the Miami Dolphins and the San Francisco Niners. After Standford’s best win over Virginia Tech, Coach Harbaugh has been entertaining both NFL teams for his services. Just yesterday, I thought that it was a done deal with the Niners as the two sides were just working out the small details but now there are rumors that Miami is offering upwards of $8 to $9 million a year for his services.
Those are large numbers and something that any one is going to have to listen to seriously. It will be interesting to see where he lands.
Washington will be visiting Paley this afternoon for a 1pm tip off against UCLA for the second game into the Pac 10 basketball season. If the Huskies play like they did against USC last Thursday and only have 7 assist and commit 17 turnover, they will go down.
We think this will be a close game but UCLA wins 77 to Washington 76.
